P-1 Visa

Individual or Team Athlete or Member of an Entertainment Group Visa allows a foreign national to enter into the U.S. for the purpose of performing at a specific athletic competition or to perform as a member of an entertainment group that has been recognized internationally.

To qualify for the P-1A Visa, the applicant must establish:

• The foreign national or foreign team must enter the U.S. for the purpose of participating in an individual or team events
• The foreign national or foreign team must have achieved significant international recognition in the sport.

To qualify for the P-1B Visa, the applicant must establish:

• At least 75% of the members of the group must have had a substantial and sustained relationship with the group for at least one year.
• The group must be internationally recognized.
